Our raison d'être is given by the fact that we are a group of experts linked to the Public Administration, who have been individually achieving several acts of training and exchange of experiencies, mainly in the areas of Urbanization, Public Services with special emphasis in Public Transportation, Municipal Finances, Revenue Enhancement and Local Coporations Public Renue Management, Local and Rural Development, among many others, both nationally and internationally.
Our purpose, through the NGO – INSTITUTE OF COOPERATION FOR SUSATINABLE DEVELOPMENT (ICODES) – is to gather those efforts and obtain synergy, by selflessly helping those disadvantaged strata of the society in need of training and experience, specially through cooperation with Latin America, always with the goal of achieving social utility and improving their living conditions.
We have been collaborating with these sections of society in collaboration with organizations and institutions belonging to the Junta de Andalucía (Autonomous Government of Andalusia), as well as the Institute of Technological Development (INTEC) of the Dominican Republic, the Spanish Agency for International Cooperatio (AECI), FUNDEMUCA (Development and Municipal and Institutional Reinforcement in Central America and the Caribbean) in Central America, as well as several City Halls (Málaga’s, Seville’s, …)
Our NGO is ICODES is registered in the Non-governmental Organizations for Development Registry of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECI), that belongs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is also registered in the Justice and Public Administration Associations Registry (registry number 5923 of the first section).
